Top Ten Fantasy Kids Series/Novels of All Time

One of my favourite bloggers has stopped her blog, hers is all about books so i thought i would carry it on for her. So here it is
Top Ten kids Fantasy Series/Novels of All Time
(or at least the ones i've read)

10. Lord of The Rings

I know this is a classic and many of you shall be saying "this girl is crazy this book should be number 1" but to be honest it took me about nine months to read and i got constantly bored reading it. I was more glad then proud when i'd finishes this 1000 page mammoth of a book. But some bits i enjoyed
*she said half-heartedly*

9. The Chaos Walking Trilogy

Now i love this series so very much, i mean it holds a special place in my heart, just not a very big place. This series is great, wonderful and just superb. But wow is this book confusing. There are so many twists and new characters, I sometimes had to read the same sentence ten times to actually grasp what is happening.

8.The Maze Runner

Ok this is again a trilogy. This series would have been great if i hadn't read The Hunger Games First (see number 6) there are so many books coming out these days set in the future i mean like jee. what is wrong with present time. and the whole thing with theresa, makes me want to kill myself. This book is just to similar to all the books coming out. The author obviously saw hunger games and thought "that is good why don`t i write the same book but with a maze and a disease". Like haven't you ever heard of copyright.

7.The Chronicles of Narnia

Now this series really is something special just not special enough to make number 1. C.S lewis is a wonderful, wonderful author but again this book is similar  to Lord of The Rings (see number 10)
it is just at times i would get so bored i would literally throw the book out the window.  I give it a seven if i was rating on how interesting it was.

6. The Hunger Games

*claps hands slowly together* well done Suzanne! Well done. for actually creating a series where the quality of the books goes straight from 1-3. I mean i love this series it is truly great. but the second and third are missing a certain UMPH! that every book needs. If i was only doing the first book, sure this book would be number...2. but no i'm doing the whole series so it is number 6. I mean Gale or Peeta , Capitol or Districts. so many questions that can simply be answered if you stopped crying for once and just stopped killing each other.

5. Harry Potter

Again with the whole UMPH! thing, this series was good when i was nine but now with all the other books i have read it just is not that good anymore. I mean J.K Rowling did a great job of writing it and everything, but it just how you might say...meh!I mean i was totally cray-cray for this series once but that time has passed, i am a true scuttlebug now.

4.More Than This

This book is amazing. It is the kind of book where you think wow what if our lives are actually like this. I mean after i read this i closed the book and just thought for about an hour about life and what it is. I mean `what is life` or what. I thought the book was just WOW! just WOW! Patrick Ness wrote this book with true awesomeness.

3. 2001: A Space Odyssey

Yeah okay this book is more sci-fi but i thought hey sci-fi is still fantasy, kind of. This book is so confusing, but maybe it is only confusing because i am twelve. But the words they use like `radiation-particles-flop-thingy-jingly-boop` are just frustrating to read. But wow is this book magical in a scientific sort of way.

2. The Letter to the King

This book is about  journey to deliver a letter, to a king. It isn't set in modern, past or present. It is set in a mythical land, ruled by kings and queens. I almost feel bad for Tiuri, a poor lad who was so close to being a knight when his own suspicion got the better of him. And he was forced to take a journey to far away place. I mean statistically he should have been killed around halfway through the book.

1. Skulduggery Pleasant

I have nothing to say but god things for this series of amazingly fantastic books. Maybe i'm biased because me and derek Landy ( the author) have met four times, and he high fived me in the forehead, hugged me and remembered me. Anyway, this series is set in modern day Dublin, Ireland.               (my hometown). It about a skeleton and his sidekick who starts of the series as a 12 year old and ends it 18, while skulduggery is 400 the whole time. It is a world of magic, and ass-kicking and total awesomeness. This series is one of the best series in the whole wide galaxy. Even those crazy books written by aliens.

So there it is my 12 year old's guide to fantasy books. I know a lot of the things i said were bad but those were on the books in the top 10. Imagine what i say about books not in the top 10.
